Graduated from Oberlin High School class of 1908.

Attended Oberlin college. 

He worked as a banker in Youngsville PA until it collapsed in the depression.

Howard saw people lose everything in the deperssion and decided that providing quality insurance could prevent it from happening again.

He owned and operated a very successful independent
insurance agency until his retirement.

Was a lay leader and choir director of the Youngsville Methodist Church, a member of the Kiwanis  and was a 32nd deg Mason. 

He had 3 children.

His wife, Edith died, presumably of a stroke, 18 December 1973.

Howard died in Mar 1979 of heart failure.

Both are interred in the Youngsville Cemetery.
